Delivered November 1947 to Mr. H C Lines, of Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire who kept a detailed log of his journeys and total mileage was 124,469 up until 1972 when he died. The bicycle was kept in storage by his son, Mr J Lines, since then and bought by me in May 2008. There are remnants of the decals on the down-tube and seat-tube. Both appear to have been quite ornate and of a type not known to Nick Tithecot at Lloyds. The down-tube transfer/decal is a wraparound 20cm long. The seat-tube one is more indistinct but at least 23cm long and wraparound also. The Reynolds sticker is missing but remnants of the adhesive remain. |
