Wheels | Weinmann 27 x 1¼" HP rims on Bayliss-Wiley large-flange hubs - 32/40 |
Chainset | Williams 1232 double |
Pedals | Lyotard MB23 with GB toeclips |
Gears | Campagnolo Gran Sport front and rear derailleurs with 'Open C' down-tube levers |
Brakes | Weinmann levers, Weinmann 730 calipers |
Stem/Bars | GB hiduminium spearpoint stem with GB Maes bars |
Saddle | Brooks Champion Narrow on Reynolds alloy seatpost |
Extra Details | Bought from the original owner, Mr J Dickinson of York in 2009. It was restored by J F Wilson in the eighties. Note lug lining on top edge of lug, possibly a Yorkshire thing as Pennine Cycles did the same. Some in the V-CC have been rather unkind about the Langsett but its smooth and responsive ride served the original owner well over decades of racing. |
