Extra details | I have owned if for 50 years, buying it in 1957 whilst in the army, when it was 10 years old, from the owner of a little cycle shop in Canterbury (it was his own bike). I paid £10, which seems a bargain, but was 2 weeks army pay then! Over the years it was used for club riding and touring (with panniers and a Cyclo 4 derailleur). I had the frame restored by Raleigh in 1960, but it was a poor job. I did a complete job on it myself (brush lacquer) in 2007 and brought it back (mostly - front hub is later) to original spec Bluemels 'Noweight' guards. |
