Ganna (Cambio Vittoria) - 1933
Posted: Thursday 13th August 2020
Frame | 1933 Ganna Cambio Vittoria; frame size 22" seat tube, 22" top tube. With chain oiler in the seat tube. Chain stays are unusual plaintapered tubes. |
Wheels | Ganna hubs, wood rims 36 spoke and tubular tyres (we, in Australia, call them singles). |
Chainset | Ganna 6¾" cranks unusual in that the chain wheel screws into the crank with a large central thread. |
Pedals | Sheffield Sprint, REG Special Clips with Binda straps |
Gears | Cambio Vittoria three speed with 1/8 chain. The system is really only a chain tensioner the change effected by slacking the chain, pedalingbackwards and directing the chain with the fingers ! |
Brakes | Universal pre-WWII steel callipers |
Stem/Bars | Nanni Torino stem and bars. Head set Ganna |
Saddle | Italia |
Extra Details | I think the bike is correct apart from the brakes which may be as late as 1939. There is no evidence of the later Vittoria mechanical 'chain mover'having been fitted. |
