Frame | 20½” Ephgrave No. 1 road frame no. LE 778 (Feb/March 1950); 20½” top tube; 17 ¾” chainstays; Stallard rear ends plus front ends; braze-on brake cable eyes and guides under top tube; pump pegs (16”) behind seat tubes; ‘sticks’ on top of seat stays. Finished in Eau de Nil with red lug lining. |
Wheels | Fiamme 700 sprint rims built with 15/17 DB spokes onto Harden LF gear-sided ‘Bacon Slicers’. Fitted with Simplex 5-speed |
Chainset | Chater Lea 42 x 3/32 on Chater Lea bottom bracket |
Pedals | Brampton quill pedals with Christophe clips and straps |
Gears | Simplex Tour de France 5-speed rear with Simplex down tube lever |
Brakes | GB Hiduminium with Doherty style levers |
