| Frame | HOLDSWORTH Super Mistral, c. 1967 serial no. 30832 Size: 25” centre to top, with 22.5" top tube and 41" wheelbase. 72 deg parallel angles. Reynolds 531 DB frame and forks. Prugnat Type I long spearpoint lugs and Prugnat sloping fork crown. RGF bb. Wrap-over seat stays, strengthened rear bridge with tubular pivot hole insert and diamond shoulder fillets. Braze-ons: centre-pull brake hanger, gear cable stop on chain stay, gear cable stops and cable eyes for bar-end shifters on down tube. Finish: original gold with orange-green seat tube panel and peak head, blue lug lining. 10-inch chromed rear fork ends and all-chrome fork. Original owner’s name “Roy Carney Horwich CC” on top tube (image below). |
