Wheels | 26” Weinmann alloy rims (40/32 spokes) with on Racelite hubs 15/17 spokes |
Chainset | Stronglight steel cottered 5-pin with TA double ring 43/40 giving a 43.3" low gear |
Pedals | Constrictor ‘Boa’ quill pedals with Christophe toe-clips and straps |
Gears | Simplex Tour de France 5-speed rear changer, Simplex Competition 'rod' front changer with 5-speed 14 - 24T freewheel |
Brakes | GB Hiduminium stirrups front and rear with early GB levers |
Stem/Bars | Reynolds alloy stem 2" with GB Maes bars |
Saddle | Brooks B17 Swallow |
Extra details | Bluemels white pump and mudguards. |
This frame (blue then) was purchased several years ago at the ‘Boot and Back’, a V-CC event, from a good friend. It was built-up with Sturmey-Archer 4-speed FM gear but has just been refinished and rebuilt to my favourite specification.
