Pedals | French stamped Depose which are the originals, Lapize clips and straps. |

Extra details | This was Roy's first racing bike bought from the proceeds of his paper rounds on the Harold hill housing Estates in Romford Essex,in December 1948 from Claud Butlers shop in Harringate. Assembled as funds became available much as photographed today. He raced it in school ten mile time trial events in 1950. With the Buccaneers Cycling Club over ten to fifty miles in 1951 and stripped down in grass track racing in 1952. It was also used for touring around East Anglia and the south of England finally seeing service fitted with modern cycle parts as Roy's son Alan's bike. It has been painted only once some forty years ago but to the original colour. |
