All welcome for this social run around the flatlands and coast of South West Sussex. Lunch on Thorney Island and Ice Creams at Bosham on the return. Hampshire Lightweights - Mid Week New Forest Meander. Post code for start BH25 5SZ Sammy Miller Museum, Bashley Cross Roads, New Milton. 10:00 am for coffee, 10:45 depart. A lovely 32 mile run through the New Forest to Brockenhurst and lunch at Bucklers Hard before making our way back to Sammy Millers for tea. Tees and back. Refreshment stop at Tees Barrage Café. Then along the south bank of the river to
the Transporter Bridge and back up Tees Road to Hartlepool.

Cambridge Section - THE EPHGRAVE AND MERIDIAN COMBINED LIGHTWEIGHT RIDE 2019
This year there will be some changes to the Ephgrave Ride: The new start is at Newmarket Road Park and Ride which is close to Cambridge Airport.  Postal code CB5 8AA.
New Route, we have held a hilly Ephgrave Ride for many years now but this year it will be flat for fixed-wheel or machines with temperamental gears, the only hill will be the foot/cycle bridge over the River Cam. Much of the route is on the ever-popular St Ives busway plus other traffic-free cycleways. Any classic lightweights welcome of course.

Hampshire Lightweights - On your Midland Marques. Post code for start point SO24 9JG Alresford Railway Station, (Watercress Line), Hants 10:00 am for 10.30 depart. An easy pace ride of 30-35 miles along quiet lanes and cycle paths for marques made in and around Birmingham, all other marques of course extremely welcome, this run suitable for single speed machines as the hills are not challenging. The classic READING LIGHTWEIGHT RIDE leaves at 10.00 from Theale village Hall, Englefield Road, Theale, Berkshire, RG7 5AS
Reading's annual bicycle ride for lightweight vintage steel racing bikes.This years theme is Raleigh but other classic lightweights welcome. The ride starts at 10 am, but please arrive at around 9 am as there's tea and cake!.

Hampshire Lightweights - The “D-Day 75” Ride. Post code for start point PO16 8ST Wallington, Fareham, Hants. 09:30 am for 10:00 depart. A shorter and less hilly route than last year will allow more time at the Southwick Revival event. We will use minor lanes to provide wonderful vistas, and stops at atmospheric places of great historic interest related to D-Day. Lunch at an historic inn. Afternoon at the 40s revival event (Google “Southwick Revival 2019”) in the beautiful “D-Day village” of Southwick, one of Britain’s last remaining feudal settlements. Hampshire Lightweights - Lisa’s Pre-’65 Gosport History Ride. Post code for start PO16 8ST Wallington, Fareham, Hants. 09.30 for 10.00 depart. Using quiet urban roads and private tracks on and around the Gosport peninsula, we will see a ruined abbey, an unspoiled historic village, Britain’s earliest canal, ancient salterns, a WWII control tower, the last surviving Mountbatten Class hovercraft, the Great British seaside, a Georgian crescent, Victorian forts, an operational MI5 base, a submarine, Queen Victoria’s personal railway line, the RN Victualling Yard, the Navy munitions factory and magazine – where we’ll pause for tea, and yet more Victorian forts. Seafront cafe to seafront cafe, first stop anarchitecturally interesting East Beach Cafe then through quiet villages to Felpham and William Blakes cottage and the Loberster Pot Cafe. Hampshire Lightweights - Tisbury Meander Ride, post code for start point is to be determined as the usual starting point is no longer available to us – please confirm with the ride leader.
09.15 for 10.00 SHARP DEPART. Fellow classic cyclists are invited to join this superb ride, it’s a splendid route through wonderful traffic free countryside, on mostly forgiving roads enhanced by a couple of majestic descents. You will go through the quiet un-spoilt English countryside at its very best, so come and join us on this friendly ride that takes place some miles to the west of Wilton near Salisbury. Lunch stop at a traditional English country pub with a varied menu. The brave will use single speed, but for the wise, the weak & the feeble we would recommend gears.
