Note Change of date below for EPHGRAVE RIDE

Sunday 17 September 2017 - NOW TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY 24 SEPTEMBER 2017

Ephgrave Lightweight Ride (Nr Cambridge)
Hilly circuit of about 30-35 miles, which has been ridden on fixed by some fit riders.
Other classic British and Italian lightweights more than welcome of course.  We start a few miles South of Cambridge to get away from the flat roads to the hillier North of Cambridge.  The start is a few hundred meters from Duxford Air Museum .
Start at 10am at Whittlesford Parkway Railway Station Car Park (£1.30 for day on Sunday) – just off Junc. 10 of M11 at its intersection with the A505.  Leave A505 at SP ‘Whittlesford/Shelfords’ – then take 1st Right SP ‘Station’.  This railway station bisects the road – we use the side nearest Duxford Air Museum/M11 ( SatNav may take you to the other side).  We labour this point as it has been known for riders to wait on the wrong side - if you are next to the Village Vet (CB22 4NL) you are in the right place, If you are next to a hotel or the Red Lion then you are the wrong side of the track!
Lunch at the excellent Ickleton Lion.  Sorry but no coffee stop or toilets at the start but if you carry on for about a kilometer along the A505 to the junction with A1301 there are services at the roundabout.
We keep a certain amount of route flexibility to allow for weather, etc but usually arrive back at the start/finish point for 3 - 3.30pm journey home.
Due to a change of caterers we will need to know in advance if you intend to attend, please email and I will reply during the week before the ride.
