1956 Sheffield Langsett - frame no. 74 7 56, seat tube 23¾", 10" bottom bracket height, Reynolds 531 DB tubing
Weinmann 27 x 1¼" HP rims on Bayliss-Wiley large-flange hubs - 32/40
Chainset Williams 1232 double
Pedals Lyotard MB23 with GB toeclips
Gears Campagnolo Gran Sport front and rear derailleurs with 'Open C' down-tube levers
Brakes Weinmann levers, Weinmann 730 calipers
Stem/Bars  GB hiduminium spearpoint stem with GB Maes bars
Saddle Brooks Champion Narrow on Reynolds alloy seatpost
Extra details Bought from the original owner, Mr J Dickinson of York in 2009. It was restored by J F Wilson in the  eighties. Note lug lining on top edge of lug, possibly a Yorkshire thing as Pennine Cycles did the same. Some in the V-CC have been rather unkind about the Langsett but its smooth and responsive ride served the original owner well over decades of racing.
