Pennine Richmond - 1966


This bike would have been used for time trialling, grass track racing, club runs, & Youth Hostelling. The frame was restored by Chris Marshall.

PENNINE " RICHMOND" - 1966- fixed-wheel bike; Seat tube 21", top tube 21.½";
Head/seat 73 degrees parallel; track rear ends drilled & tapped for mudguards, braze-on pump pegs. Top-eye decorated.
Conloy Asps rims on Powell D/F hubs
Chainset Chater-Lea 6.25" round cranks, chainring 47 tooth x 1/8"
Pedals Chater-Lea stainless steeel
Gears Single-speed fixed
Brakes G.B. Coureur 66 centre pull with G.B. Superhood. levers (one for' honking' only)

Saddle Saddle Unica-Nitor, Brooks saddle clip on Titan straight pin
Extra details This frame was built, for Carol Croucher (sadly deceased) one of three sisters who rode for the East Bradford CC in the 60s/70s wiining medals at national level, in R.T.T.C, events. Carold elder sister Mrs Brenda Littlefair, is still competing in V.T.T.A events
